Online Tourism Management System

Online Tourism Management System is an integrated web-based software developed for tour operating companies. The main aim of this project is to help the tourism companies to manage their customers, hotels, vehicles and agents. It makes all operations of the tour company easy and accurate. The online platform makes tourism management easy by handling customers’ requests and providing services for the customers located at different parts of the globe.

Different modules have been incorporated in this project to handle different parts and sectors of the tour management field. The database is available in “bin” folder –  Travelz.mdb. The log in details are: user id = Future, password = Point.

About Online Tourism Management System:

In online tourism management system, most of the works are done via web. With the proposed system, tour operators can lure customers with their best tour packages and provide options to choose from the packages. The tourism companies can inform their customers online about the hotels, vehicles, agents, etc.

Further, the system provides a provision of taking day wise, weekly and monthly reports. By using these reports, the tourism or tour operating companies can analyze their business – track the agent-wise and staff-wise progress reports. This will help in managing healthy and productive financial transactions.

 

Modules Overview:

Online Tourism Management System is divided into five major categories/modules. They are briefly introduced below; their detailed description can be found in the project report.

1. Admin Module: This module handles the entire Master forms such as Staff Master, Agent Master, activity master and Location Master, user master etc.
2. Hotel Module: Hotel Module consists of Hotel master which consist of all the details such as name of the hotel, hotel address, contact person details, no. of rooms in hotel and facilities available in that hotel.
3. Itinerary Module: It handles the fixed touring packages such as total package price, adult price, child price, etc. Customer master screen is also included in this module. Customer contact information, group details, breakups of individual arrivals and departures in the group, customer code generation and tracking are the main features of this module.
4. Vehicle Module: It has Vehicle master that contains vehicle details such as vehicle type (owned or hired), vehicle registration no., vehicle chassis no., insurance details, standard mileage, no. of seats, etc.
5. Reports Module: This module keeps track of the revenue by keeping records of customer statistics, agents’ performance, etc. The reports may be daily, monthly or yearly. These may be included in the reports: activity reports, admin reports, customer reports, hotel reports, itineraries reports, mailing lists and vehicle reports.

Conclusion:

Compared to the present time consuming and uneconomical system, the proposed Online Tourism Management System Project reduces human resource required – labor (agents), wastage of time and proves to be very economical in the long run. This project can be further enhanced to provide better flexibility and performance with certain modifications whenever necessary.
